South Dakota State Map

The South Dakota State Map can be found here, along with everything else GREAT about South Dakota! Thanks to Wikipedia for helping me out here with this one!

On the map below, you will find I-90 which is the ONLY interstate that runs in our State. It runs East to West.

The Black Hills and Mount Rushmore are noted on the map. Look to the very far Western side. See all the purple? That's the Black Hills!

The dark green notes the National Parks. Just off of I-90 you will see the Badlands National Park. Also note the legend for the various Indian Reservations, the Badlands is partly in one. The Badlands is less then 100 miles from Rapid City, the second largest city in the State.

Everything really awesome (MY opinion) is in the western part of South Dakota! Look at the map bigger by clicking on it, it will open another window which shows the details better (for me anyways but then I have been told I need glasses...smh..).

You will find all the area's big draw attractions and all the HOT spots in the West, the
Wild West that is!

See...

All of these attractions are on the West side, all within a few hours of each other, maximum! We personally love that fact!

This map was just to cool of a find to not include on this page! This is probably the first map ever produced of our area. General Custer mapped this out when he was here and found GOLD! This map dates back to 1874.

And since we are talking maps, and South Dakota, I thought I would throw in a picture of the State of South Dakota flag. Can you find it on the Avenue of Flags at Mount Rushmore?
